Bills Must Be Paid

A new game, Bills Must Be Paid, has launched a demo on Steam, offering players an active incremental experience. The game, developed by a two-person studio, tasks players with smashing piggy banks to pay their bills, with the piggy banks spawning random loot.

The gameplay involves smashing piggy banks, which costs stamina, and when the player's hand gets tired, the run is over. Bills will show up, and if ignored, the collector will start taking a cut of the player's earnings. Paying off the bills unlocks perks that help the player pay them back faster, with a skill tree offering multiple paths to discover.

The game features different types of piggy banks, including some that run away and others that are too lazy to move. Players can also unlock different types of hammers, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. The full release of the game is planned for July, and the developers are seeking feedback from players.

The game's demo is currently available on Steam, and the developers, a married couple, have been working on the game for months. They handle the code and art respectively, and are excited to finally have the demo live.
