Skyreap Blends Automation and Exploration on a Floating Archipelago

A new take on the automation and base-building genre is on the horizon, as solo developer “Skyreap solo” unveils Skyreap. This upcoming title promises a relaxing journey through a forgotten archipelago of floating islands, where players will cultivate a single starting island into a sprawling, automated network.

The game begins simply: players are provided with an island, an axe, and a humble hut. From these modest origins, the objective is to automate production, gather resources, and expand the initial foothold. The core loop revolves around growing this small beginning into a self-sustaining network of islands that operates efficiently even without direct player intervention.

Central to Skyreap’s exploration and expansion is a custom-built airship. This vehicle serves as the heart of discovery, venturing into a sky initially shrouded in a fog of war. As the airship flies autonomously, it gradually reveals new islands on the map, opening up fresh territories for players to claim and integrate into their burgeoning sky-bound empire.

Harvested resources are crucial for progression, feeding into a detailed progression tree that unlocks a variety of new buildings and essential tools. Each successful expedition not only expands the geographical reach of the archipelago but also contributes to the growth and capability of the player’s home island.

Skyreap is slated to offer over 10 islands to discover, providing an estimated 6–10 hours of gameplay for completion. Players eager to embark on this unique skyfaring automation adventure can look forward to its release on Steam in Q4 2026.
