SpeedRunners 2 Announced
Competitive platformer sequel SpeedRunners 2 releases in July 2026 with crossplay on PC and consoles
Developed by a team led by community manager Antishyr, SpeedRunners 2 is the sequel to the 2016 competitive platformer where players must outrun their opponents to avoid elimination.
The new game boasts updated visuals, new netcode, and a range of fresh content including maps, characters, and a Tournament mode. Players will also be able to enjoy couch coop and large online matches supporting up to 8 players.
A demo for the game is currently available on Steam, giving players an early taste of the action. SpeedRunners 2 is also set to launch on consoles and will be included in Xbox Game Pass from day one.
With crossplay support, SpeedRunners 2 aims to bring together players across different platforms, enhancing the competitive experience. The game's release in July 2026 is highly anticipated by fans of the original and competitive platformer enthusiasts alike.
