Hozy is a straightforward, relaxing simulator about restoring abandoned homes. It avoids the tedious management systems of other renovation games, focusing instead on the actual process of cleaning and decorating.

The Gameplay
The game is split into nine distinct levels, each offering a room to rehabilitate. The mechanics are simple: you clean surfaces, repair fixtures, and furnish the space. What makes it stand out is the "feel." The physics-based cleaning tools provide immediate visual feedback, and the item interaction is satisfyingly tactile. You don’t just snap objects into place; you move them around until they look right. The game uses a curated selection of furniture rather than a bloated catalog. While this limits your options, it ensures that your final room usually looks well-designed rather than cluttered. The atmospheric design particularly the lighting and the soundtrack does a great job of keeping the experience calm and focused.

The Verdict
Hozy is a solid, polished experience, but it is relatively short. Most players will finish it in about 3–5 hours. It’s best suited for someone looking for a low-stakes way to spend a few quiet evenings. If you enjoyed the mechanics of Unpacking or the core loop of House Flipper but wanted something less stressful and more refined, Hozy is a great pick. It’s a clean, efficient, and well-executed title that knows exactly what it wants to be.

Pros:

  • Satisfying, physics-based cleaning mechanics.

  • Focused design prevents messy, "over-decorated" results.

  • Strong atmosphere and aesthetic presentation.

Cons:

  • Short playtime; you’ll run through the content quickly.

  • Controller support feels a bit imprecise compared to mouse and keyboard.
